 Neutering And Spaying
« Thread Started on Sept 23, 2004, 11:23pm »

Hi people,

I bet some of the newbies here to bunnies will get cold-feet once the mention of operation for our bunnies. Likewise i encountered with the same experience not too long ago. My bam bam has been having litter training problem and unexpectationally sexually active till pebbles retailate by biting him.

I have no intention of breeding my bunnies so i made an appointment for him with Dr Daphne Ang from Vet Practice. Feeling gittery as many bunny mummy would experience the day before the surgery. I could not sleep at all. And had plan a list of question to bombare the dear vet with.

But i am so glad everything went fine. Bam Bam is back to his hoppy self again. And i am spared from the cleaning and mopping i have to do every single day before the surgery...

Like many out there, i did not fully understand the point of sending my bunny to the operation table with even the slightest risk that he/she may not wake up to be in my arms again. But thinking of all the suffering later on in life he/she has to suffer, i really cannot bear to think. And also after the operation, he is more well-behave and more loving towards me. He used to bite me a lot but only 2 days after the operation, he started "licking" me!!! [image] I was.... speechless..

Check this link out for 10 good reasons to send ur bunny to the vet for the sterilisation ops:

Feel free to msg me for more information with regards to sterilising ur bunny. I will be more than willing to aid u in anyways i can...

Cheers

I second your opinion bunnylove. ;)

The advantages of sterilizing our bunnies definitely outweigh the disadvantages. It's also a humane decision for the sake and welfare of your bunnies, as they no longer live in the fustration of wanting to pro-create and now can live happily, minus the raging hormones wrecking havoc on our angels' moods, causing negative behaviour.

3 of my babies done, 3 more to go!

Here are more reasons why:
